is replaceing your clutch a diy type of thing

i looked threw the info forum and i didnt see any write ups on replacing it your self


has anyone ever done this

do you need special tools ( besides the clutch allinment pin thing)

I have done it, its one of those jobs that can be easy with the right tools and help or hard with wrong tools and help!

If you take your time and follow the directions to the letter you should be able to do this easily, the hardest part is probably removing the bolts.

I suggest you invest in some nice swival for your ratchets and use new hard ware when installing your clutch...oh yes and resurface or replace your flywheel depending on if its aftermarket or not!

I used these directions ignore the drive shaft stuff

I've done it. I suggest you pay the money to get it done unless you are really desperate, adventurous, very mechanically skilled, and love pain.

You will not be able to do it by yourself if you are going to do it in your garage without lift and with improvized tranny lift. Could be quite dangerous.
