Are there any notable differences between these brokerage firms? Any promos you know of among the two? I'm thinking of moving from Schwab and getting into a lower cost investing account. Any positives, negatives, or just plain comments? Thanks.

i moved from schwab to e-trade, mostly since schwab was killing me with their monthly (quarterly) fee. I'm totally a low roller though, you don't want financial advice from me.... :nervous: :p

eTrade has been good for me. Scottrade might be worth a try, although it seems like they're all very close now.
Read all you can online about the actual investing and strategies; buyer beware, eh?
