Hi all, I need to replace the rear seal on my tdi afn injector pump. iv'e watched all the vids on youtube by dieselgeeks and got the vitton seal kit. I just wanted to know from someone who's gotten "hands on"with this job is there anything else I need to be carefull with other than having the pump in compression? and obviously not scratching the seal seat groove when removing the old one, I just want to be fully informed and not make a balls of it! cheers.:wrench:

Did this on a golf TDI several years ago. As I recall, fairly straightforward. I got the "kit"" with a bolt which helped you not loosen the plate too far. Not sure if that was really necessary, but it did add to my confidence.

Be exceptionally clean. Take your time. It's not a really hard job, just tedious.
