Hi Guys,

My B5 had the ignition Module replaced for the 3rd time over the last month.
Do you guys have any ideas what might cause it to go bad?
Is there any chance that the coils damage it?
I have no idea how to solve it and it drives me crazy.
Many THANKS FOR THE HELP.

One thing that might have been overlooked is the silicone paste that should be under the ICM . It helps heat transfer and a hot ICM is a shot ICM .

Buy a tube of Arctic Silver 5 from one of the computer overclocking websites out there. Then, when you install the new ICM, clean the heatsink AND the ICM with turpentine followed by rubbing alcohol, and apply a VERY thin layer of Arctic Silver to the underside of the ICM. (The layer should be as thick as a sheet of paper, or thereabouts.)

Thanks,
So you guys think it's just an insulation thing? or could it be the coils as well.
