If you could have any car you wanted...

What would it be? But just one.

My wife actually engaged me in a conversation about cars a while ago, and she ended up asking this question.

I found it interesting just how hard it was to come up with an answer. I thought about the obvious exotic options, and while great cars, they don't fit my style and obviously aren't practical. I think a Jag XKR would be a great car, but I would probably lean toward a non-turbo Porsche 911 or Cayman since they are so much more efficient. The sweet Maserati Quattroporte is high on the list, but a bit bigger than I like. Honestly, a C6 Vette would not be turned away, either, but would not be fun in the winter.

I gave up. I think I would like a 2-place, or 2+2 hardtop, and that's about as far as I can get. Pretty bad when you can't even to pretend to spend money you don't have.....

If I had to pick one car to drive the rest of my life, Mercedes S-Class. If I had to pick one car to I could never afford, Lamborghini Murcielago. My attainable dream car would still have to be a late model 300ZX. But my next car will probably be a civic.

Tough choice. I would love a Cayman, but I am not sure I could live without a wagon. The RS4 Avant is a little small but I could probably get used to it. The A6 V6 TDI is great, but might be too big.

I noticed on youtube that they had some vids of the skyline vs most of the cars you guys listed. I see that it gets its ass chewed unmodded, but when its pushing 1500hp, mmmm. There is a lot of nice vids!

Assuming they need to be street legal

New: Carrera GT
Used: Porsche 911 RSR (probably not technically street legal so in that case an older 911 RS)

Well... living in Canada, i need a winter car too. And if i were to limit myself to one car, that would mean it would be for all year round. This car is good looking, sensible, quattro, and powerful. The interior is amazing, its not a complete show off car, like a ferrari or Konigster. If i go to the grocery store, or beer store i have a spot to put the two4 and such... It seats 4 people, almost 4 adult comfortably. Its stick, its the fasts reving V8 in production... i could give a hundred reasons why this would be my first lottery car.

I always said, if i won 30 million, that this would be the car that i would drive to the porsche dealership to buy my White 997 GT3. As much as i would want the 997 GT3, i wouldn't want to take the bus in the winter.
