Well, my mechanic said my car is most likely chipped, how could I find that out? Do you guys have a pick of the original so that I can look to see if it's still in there? Or do chippers usually just change the programing not the chip itself? Thanks!
Take out hte ECU and see which chip you have soldered onto the board. Usually the aftermarket chips say the manufacturer's name on them. Mine say Wetterauer 8) .
99.9% of the time chipped cars don't throw codes unless there is a problem with the car itself. easiest check is to log boost...however your '99 does not have this sensor, so log MAF instead.....if it peaks out at 150-165+ g/sec then its probably chipped.
