Hi,

I am trying to replace my Crank Position Sensor
The sensor i bought

can I got the sensor out (behind the oil filter, by the way PITFA!) and it is wired up and under with steal like wire ties.

I am about to say F' it and cut the original wire out of the way because I can not seem to cut the wire wraps.

My issue is, I THINK the wire is the correct one. I am pulling the one on the driver side firewall color gray, next to the red and green wires.

If I am the correct area, I am going to take photos and post them because i have seen others needed an idea where this bloody stupid thing is.

If you have a photo or a diagram from a repair book, that will be most useful. i will be changing out the spark plugs while i wait.

follow up again.

Thinking about keeping the old one there laying down, put everything back together with the new wire rerouted somewhere else and seeing if it runs.

It shouldn't be too bad to get to from underneath. There is quite a bit of space with the filter removed. Should probably get it cleaner than mine is before you pull it out.

If its a 1.8t its right next to the oil filter. Takes about 5 minutes to change and only one tool a 10mm socket. I will take pictues in a second
