how to turn on the Acc portion of the ignition with start button start???

2020 passat. how do I turn the ignition to accessory...say I want to sit in car listen to radio but without the car running.

basically stop 1 position from "regular Key" ingintions????

turn key to pos 1..have accessories...turn further it starts..how do we do that with these stupid start button cars??

first car with this feature so I dont know.

I think I found it...will try when I go home:

if this is correct for VW I will find out. this is from a ford forum.

Just tap the engine start button without depressing the clutch/brake. It the same as turning your key'd car to the accessory position.

Yes, or you could do that and then press it again without your foot on the brake and it will shut everything down but the radio for 5-10 minutes. Called Retained accessory power.

If you just want to listen to the radio, just press the radio power button with the car completely off. It will turn on, but I think it times out in like 10 minutes. You don't need to press the start button at all. At least this is how it works in my 2022.
