Well, the end of next month will be the 1 year aniversary with our B6 and it seems they are still few and far between on the roads we frequent.

Today was exceptional in that as I merged our '07 Passat 2.0T FSI Variant United Gray onto I-74 East in East Peoria, a new Passat 2.0T FSI Sedan United Gray with Missouri Plates was cruising in the left lane. We exchanged Thumbs-Up.

Overall though, this is an unusual experience for us...is it likewise the case for you? Does this make you feel a little "oddball" in the hoards of SUVs, Pickups, Nissan, Honda, and Toyota Sedans? I tell myself that I made the best choice and the others just don't get it.

How of often do you see other B6s on the road?
I recently made a 400 mile (800 mile round trip) and only saw one B6 on the road, mine. Honda Accords and Toyota Camrys are a dime a dozen. Any VWs, with the exception of the Beetle, are hard to spot. Wonder what this means? I recently saw a comsumer report that said Honda Accord was the best import and Passat the worst. Was this a real test or just public opinion? If just opinion then all that means is that all the Accord owners voted their car best and all the Passat owners (very few) voted their cars best. No contest in the outcome simply because of numbers. Comments?

There's a 2.0T in my neighborhood; besides that, I'll most typically see one or two a day. On 3-4 hour interstate drives in WV/eastern Ohio, 4 or 5. I'd guess that 95% of my "sightings" are for the 2.0T. I've not been able to positively ID any other 3.6 4MOs (I have an '06).

Wow I saw a sedan and a wagon today coming to work! This is very rare for here in Hamilton, Ontario. We have very few B6 around. Maybe people are buying them more. I love my Passat.

I only see them very rarely, and not frequently enough to know from the rear (at a distance) whether its a jetta or a passat.

There are at least two (Blue 2.0T, the other is United Gray) in my neighborhood - but in general there are plenty of Passats (B5 & B5.5) up here.
A guy that works about a mile from here has a Brown 3.6 4Motion.

they are common in the UK, though the more i look at them the more i think the b5.5 is the better looking car,on the outside in any case.

There are still very few B6 around Montreal. I think it has a lot to do with the goofy option packages that are being offered in Canada where you easily add $6k to the sticker as soon as you want one thing. Also, for those seeking a V6, other sedans are much cheaper than the B6 with comparable performance and options. I wouldn't be surprised to see a price drop in Canada. It has already been announced in the US for other VW models:

Wow, I see them all over. Last week I pulled onto an expressway and found myself between 2 B6 Varients. Then a couple minutes later a B6 sedan passed us.

There are 2 B6 sedans in our parking lot at work. (not counting my Varient)
