I have been getting alot of warnings that my storage limit has been reached in MS Outlook. I have email from 2001, mostly important emails. I guess I am lazy to save them elsewhere..I just find it more convienent to have them in my email application rather than having to dig them later on. Anyway is there a suggested time limit as to how long you should keep email? :)

pack 'em up in a .pst file and stick it on your hard drive somewhere (or network, whatever...). You will still be able to access the messages.

Edit: ok, here you go:
1- go to 'file' -> 'archive'
2- choose what you want to pack up
3- choose where to put it
4- hit 'ok'

then to access it you can go File -> Open -> Personal Folders File

yeah just look up autoarchive.

You can also compress your mailbox which might help with space saving.

I would just ask myself when the last time I needed that email or bit of information. if the last time was almost 3 years ago, it's probably not that important.

too long. I know of some companies that make their employees delete anything older than 6 months. If you don't have the email, it didn't happen.
