My daughters 06 Passat has a bad lock module on the front passenger door I am trying to replace. I took off the trim and removed the 2 plugs where I could see the 2 clips that hold the glass in place but i am unsure how to loosen them. It is not the 10mm bolt that I have encountered doing this job on 01/02 Golfs and Jettas. I should have taken a pic but the 2 what looks like retaining screws have a 6 point torx head and I don't mean a recessed one like other screws on the trim and metal piece that has the 8 or so screws have. I was able to get a 7 or 8 mm socket on them but did not apply much pressure as I was afraid I might break something not being sure this was the right move. Any help would be appreciated.

Not mine but a pic I found that shows the type of head I am seeing through the 2 holes where you would access the bolts to remove the glass from the drive rail. Could the clips have been put on backward? What I am used to seeing when doing this job on older VW Golf/Jetta is a 10 mm bolt that you loosen. I will have to look again to confirm the rest of the clip but positively what I saw when I removed the 2 covers is the 6 point torx head in the pic.
