The lights behind the AC and heater controlls in my 2002 glx 1.8t have died....how do I go about changing them?

Turn the power knob to 2 and pull it straight out the bulb it right behing there

Yes, that's what he means. Note they're usually a bit tough to pull out by hand. Use pliers (with a cloth or similar to protect from scratching) if needed. May also need a small piece of rubber tubing to reach in and press onto the bulb to remove it.

Note before you bother with this, have you tried the tapping method? The connection inside the panel can be intermittent and some have found that giving a couple stiff taps on the panel solves the problem, at least for a while.

And before you ask, it's just one bulb that lights the whole panel.

BTW - you say above that it's a glx 1.8t, but all GLX's have the V6 and Climatronic (which I don't think is lit the same way), so above assumes you really meant GLS.

I did......with a VERY hyper 3 year old sitting on my lap while i was typing this i must have spaced that part......
Thanks for the info....at naptime i will try it.....BTW, can i get the bulb at a auto parts store or is it a dealer thing?
