I'm looking to put something like:

but it's nearly 10" deep and I'm concerned that it may not fit (depth wise). Anyone now how much depth is available on the Passat doubleDIN?

can't imagine the double din is any deeper then the single. If it is I am sure someone with chime in. anyway my alpine was something like 6.5 inch deep and it fits like a glove so I can't imagine that 9.8 incher will fit. guess you could pop your deck out and measure. my rid is a 2000 gls w/ single din. maybe they changed it somewhere along the line though

My Alpine units are about 7"-7.25" deep and that's as much space as you can get in there. A 10" deep unit will not fit.
