Is there a downside to taking the the hot air inlet out.Its the circular flap in the bottom of the air box.I read that some people in the audi forums have taken this out and noticed improvment.Thanks
Air will not be drawn into that inlet unless the normal intake duct is severly plugged. I wouldn't worry about it, like most things on these finely engineered vehicles, it has a purpose and best not to mess with it too much. If you were to have your intake get plugged your engine would have no other way to get air and your engine will stall.
