[AK-Passat]

Any one have the HKS air intake system (the one that looks like a big green mushroom) in ther car. Any bad or good things to say about it ? i got it in my 1999 vw passat v6 2.8 30v and was thinking of geting that other one people use on club :b5: i looked around and only seen one thing about it and it said somthing about it messing the MAF up ?

I'm using the HKS in my 1.8T. Does it perform any better than the Evoms (the Evoms looks better)? I don't know but is was alot cheaper than the Evoms. I've had mine in for about a year and no problems with the MAF or anything else. One advantage these filters have over stock is they are much easier to replace and/or clean.

Since you have the V6, check out Neuspeed's P-Flow also.

Does anyone think that the OEM air filter box system is not good. I was thinking of putting it back in my car. my HKS not sure if it safe for the car let lots of dirt in i think? any thing on this ?

www.bobistheoilguy.com has a nice Filter test....Paper, Cotten, Foam from major manuf's......Recommended reading IMO.

The stock airbox is very well developed. It's just maybe a tad quiet for some!
