I just recieved my HID look a likes and am installing on my 2000 B5. I noticed in the installation of the headlight plug that the contacts are not the same. I finished the install on one side and tested. I found that the little 5W bulb does not light with the euroswitch in the city light position. The projector light lights up at about 80%. I took the headlight housing back off the car and found that the city light contact has no contact from the harness. Do I need to run wiring from the euroswitch to the headlight to run my city lights? I searched around here a bit and have not read anything about this prob. I had read that these lights were "plug and play".
Has anyone else ran into this problem? I am interested to hear how to remedy this. Thanks in advance for your quick responses. I'll be in my garage with my head on my hands.... :???:

GREAT!! Thanks for the help! I actually got out the test light and tried to figure out what this lead was for. I did not think of the fog. Any idea of how to "pop" the lead out of the connector? Usually it takes a paper clip or something to release the prong that holds it in. Is this one different? Thanks again for the help.

Thanks for the thread. I did a search for city lights and this did not come up. Hmmm... Anyways, thanks for the info. I think I will do the simple wire swap for now, then when I get my fogs I will hook up my city's to the parking lights and wire up the fogs. Gotta luv this club!
