well, i thought i would waste my thanksgiving weekend trying to put my katzkin interior in, its proving to be a lot harder than i thought. i've been searching this but haven't been able to find the details on how to take the bottom of the backseat out. its hinged and folds forward, but i don't see any screws to take it out. this is obviously different from a sedan. there is a plaistic cover over the hinge and there are no screws under there either. this is a 1999 wagon, so if anyone can shine some light on this please help me out.

also where do I get this 12 point torx to dismantle the front seats? i just took the front seat out and took it half apart only to put it all back together again. . sigh.

Knockout pins, but should be a phillips screw there too IIRC, very obvious if I am right or wrong. Seat backs lift out fairly easily after you remove the centre plate, but of course you need to detach the seat belt bolt for the wider half (easy, and treat with anti-seize or other anti-rust type of stuff before replacing. Also, cover the hole with tape if you end of driving without back seats, this hole goes right to "the outside world")
