Help -

I just installed A4 sport wheels on my B5.5 and the rear wheel / rotors creek when I jacked the car up and down to install the wheels. It didn't creek before with the 15" Wellingtons. I bought these off a new A4 and didn't modify anything from stock...as far as I know.

I installed new rotors and pads last week and everything was working fine on those. I am also worried about how close the tires are the the steering linkage (if that what it is at the top of the tire) on the front wheels. I have moved the car yet.

Do I need any kind of spacers or anything else on the wheels...they seem like they stick out far enough from already...I couldn't imagine them being any further out.

Thanks,

Jason

I have these same wheels on a Wagon.. What size tire do you have? mine ar 235/45 r17. they clear the stearing linkages etc fine, but i did rub on the right rear tire at about the 9 oclock position (inner side). I just had to adjust the wheel liner a little by re-screwing the 2 screws on the bottom that hold the metal fuel guard in place. They are the 2 vertical screws right next to the tank. I can send you some pics if you want.

I think these wheels are quite a bit heavier than the stock wheels. DOn't know if that is connected to the creaking you are hearing. Could it be the suspension? Sounds strange.

ps.. i think i am going to go with 225/45 tires next time.

A4 wheels

Hi there.

Just bought myself the same wheels for my wagon. Did you get the VW centre cap at the dealer, and what is the part # ?

Thanks

They are the center caps off the stock 15" VW Wellingtons. They don't fit in the same way as the Audi ones that came on the wheels do (flush inside) but they haven't fallen off yet...
