I have a 2005 passat TDI wagon. When I start the car, the e-brake warning light comes on. While the light is on, the wipers, heat/air blowers and signal light won't work. When this first started, it would go off after 30 seconds. Now, especially after a long drive, it won't go off at all unless I stop driving it for a week or so. I've had two dealer mechanics look at it and they don't know what it is. One mechanic said it is likely electrical, but said they didn't know where the problem could be and this could get very expensive trying to locate the problem.
