My heat has recenly started working randomly, anywhere from lukewarm to fairly hot but mostly just slightly warm. Car temp always normal at 190, radiator recently flushed and filled (no effect), fan blows fine.......

Anyone have a clue, some days are just too cold:confused:

A couple things to check.

Is your upper and lower radiator hose hot when car is at 190?
Are you heater core hoses both hot with the heat on high and blower on max? Maybe water pump impeller is slipping and not circulating coolant.

You might want to bleed the system of air buy sliding the one heater core hose with the hole in top of the hose back to expose the bleed hole to let air out.

Also you might want to make sure your temp flap cable is actually moving the flap. You can carefully pry the trim piece from the contol panel by depressing the 4 tabs in the upper and lower outside corners of the piece. Remove the screws and the center trim piece should come off. Pull the control panel with the cables attached. Check if cable are seated properly and / or are binding. Operate temp cable and you should be able to hear the flap move to the end stops.
