Heater Hose (feed) to CTS flange leak

Hey guys, im dealing with a very mild coolant leak and I believe I have tracked it down to this junction: CTS Flange-->Heater Hose Feed

The connection is shown in this picture:

Can anyone shed some insight as to how these two connect? It looks like there might be a clip/spring involved but I am not sure. The leak appears to be coming from right where the flange and hose leak.

I had a similar issue with the heater feed hose from the flange to the heater core on my B5.5 V6. I found a new hose for $43 and it took about 1 hour to replace. I had to spend 30 minutes just to get the hose off the flange after removing the clip. Not much room to work on a v6 as the hose is behind the firewall. Anyway a new hose is needed to make the repair.

what part of that hose was leaking for you? The connection between the fitting and the hose, the o-ring or how it fit to the flange?

Yes there's a clip that you need to pull out , not completely though, maybe 1/2" or so and it will stay in place like that. In your photo you would pull it from the bottom side. That will allow you to disconnect the hose and replace the o-ring.
Sorry for the late reply to the question "what part of that hose was leaking for you? The connection between the fitting and the hose, the o-ring or how it fit to the flange? ". The o-ring inside the hose where it connects to the funnel shaped nipple on the flange. There was a lot of coolant on the flange and I started to think that I may need to replace the flange like some of the other guys are doing on this forum. It turns out the flange was fine and the o-ring inside the hose was leaking even though it appear to be in good condition. I would first replace the hose before trying to do anything wiht the flange. The hose is cheap and easy enough to replace.
