Knocked out a pair of these at lunch today. Hopefully they get installed very soon.
My plan is to mount them to the front side of the radiator core support along each side of the radiator / a/c condenser.
This should eliminate any heat problems with the ballasts. Those are 10mm high fins on the back and plenty of them.
Upon final assembly I'll use thermal grease between the ballast and flat mounting surface for the best heat dissipation.

Yes, yes I did.
I cheated a bit though. I started with the aluminum extrusion, I just milled it down to size to fit my needs.
We get all kinds of aluminum extrusions in 20 foot lengths at work. I just grabbed a chunk out of the scrap barrel and cut it up.
