Headlight bulbs?

So I have a 06 Passat and my headlights are shot. I got another pair but there seems to be a difference and my bulbs and harness wont fit. Did VW change something at some point?

if so does anyone have pictures of the other type.

Do you have HID (High Intensity Discharge) or filament (Halogen) system?

For filament bulbs there are two types of holder: Hella and Valeo. But both take the same bulb styled as H7

The clips for either Hella or Valeo are not available separately as a spare part. I presume you mean the holders with wire clips either side. So it'd have to be from a scrappy. Or change headlight assembly ... :poke:
