Hi All,

I'm disconnecting items to try and make room to change my coolant flange on the 1.8 AWM. In the process of removing the crankcase vent (06A 129 101) on the back top of the engine it looked like the below; lots of foamy "Stuff" and the vent allows air in either direction.....as I recall there is a spring/valve in the vent that allows air flow in one direction but I'm not sure.

Vent is original with 190k miles on it....I'm thinking replace but interested in others thoughts??

Car runs good ; just leaks coolant from flange.

It's just condensation mixing with PCV vapors. You can clean it out and keep it if you want to save some $

Also check the spring and side of THAT through the top side hole and look it it. It should be sprung up high. If not you will have issues with performance.
