Hi new to the forum. I just picked up a 2003 gls passat wagon. I'm doing brakes for the 1st time on this vehicle finished the rears (Had to buy a 15mm wrench). I am now doing the front brakes(Had to pick up an 18 mm wrench and socket). I have taken off the part which holds the rotor in place and the caliper connects to, the one with the 2 18mm bolts. I have reinstalled the 18mm bolts but they are not getting snug they are spinning, is this where I should be applying the loctite and what is the consensus on the color? Thanks in advance. Seems like a great community here :)

If they are spinning, either the bolts or the hole is stripped. Loctite will not help. With any luck, the hub carrier is not stripped as it would be difficult to repair or replace it compared to new bolts.

Well it was the steering knuckle, loctite didn't help. Ordered and have received new steering knuckle and hope to replace it tomorrow.
