I stopped into Herzog Meier (Portland, Or) today about 11:30 to check on availability of a NB sunglasses holder for my '03. I also wanted to schedule an appointment to check the rear rotors for warp. Greg said "how about right now?" I left the car, met my wife for lunch at NIKE, and by 1:30 the car had new rear rotors and pads. All under warranty. Thanks Greg! Kudos to Herzog Meier. :D

Yeah, baby! We need more posts like this. I guess the ball is in VW's court.

Out of curiosity, how many miles on your '03, and is it a manual or Tiptronic?

In the US at least the rotors are covered under the 4yr/50k B2B warranty. The pads are 1 year/12000 miles. Dealer might have done it and said that the rotors damaged the pads or something. Or knows that is a good time to change the pads. Either way, good to here.
