I'm kinda lookin more ultra high performance all season than all out performance since i commute a lot and want some comfort too. I have 18's and the tires it came with (225/40 Kumho Ecsta 712's) IMO suck! Their grip is in no way impressive, they're noisy, and they've worn quickly. What is a good tire i'm look to go a little wider and fatter tire probably 235/45 R18. TIA

I had 225/40 and they were just too thin. the thickness of the sidewall is a percentage of the width tho right??? so would a 235/40 have a significantly taller sidewall??? the short sidewall of a 40 just doesn't go nicely with the roads around here....

Buy BRIDGESTONE. I have had them a couple times now, and they have been great. I have not run on my new ones yet, but I have heard great things on the SO3's.

The Supra 712's have a pretty substantial amount of grip... It kinda freaks me out that you need MORE grip. Note to self: don't visit Buffalo any time soon. :p
