alright so, i wake up today and my car and a good 3 or 4 foot area around my car smell like i washed my car with gas, obvioulsy not wanting to damage the car any more than it was, or blow up, i checked it out. I open the hood, and start her up and there appeared to be a decent flow of gas leaking from the rear part or the engine (only had a couple seconds) not specific what part, but I am almost positive that is what was leaking.

any ideas on the problem or how much it would be to fix?

Your fuel supply line and fuel return line connect to the fuel rail. Check those connections. Also check your fuel pressure regulator on the back of the fuel rail. I believe the fuel pump is energized when you turn the ignition to on so you shouldn't need to start the car.

I would look for any place where rubber fuel line mates with hard lines.
