I'm working on putting this instrument cluster into my early 98:

I've asked around on passat3b.de and as far as I know it is just plug and play. The clusture is ment to work with the early style Navi, but it should still work without one.

The question I have for you guys is that if anyone changed their cluster to any different clusture, not neccesarily euro one, how did you reprogram the miles/kilometers? From what I heard on vortex it can only be programmed once. I'm looking to buy a used cluster, either off passat3b.de or ebay.de, and I'm trying to find out how could I reprogram the odometer to my current miles?

any info appreciated.

WHY??? Its green? Kinda cool because its different but why???
i'm pretty sure that early 98 b5's came stock w/ green
yes, you are correct. This is how my dash, and early 98s, built date 7/97 and befor look.

oh and I just found out, that the only way the cluster can be reprogrammed is if it has less then 1000km on it, and hasnt been reprogermmed before. Your only allowed to do it one.

but yeah, I found a cluster just like that one for sale on passat3b.de and hopefully I can let you guys know soon how it turned out.
