first go buy some new hose clamps
jack up the right rear.
infront of the rear wheels there is a plastic shield that runs the wsidth of the car, take this off.
take out the gas cap to depressurise the system
crawl under the car on the rear pass. side infront of the rear wheel and look up. take out the bolts for the bracket
take of the one-time use clamp(have fun)
and pull off the lines get a bucket to hold the leaking gas.
put the new filter in facing the right direction (arrow pointing to the front of the car)
tightn the clamps.
take a nap under the car for a good 45 minutes so you can get a brake from the wifes constint yapping.
put the caver back up.
put the key in the ingnition and put it into the on position (but dont start) for around a minute to let the systen pressurize a bit.
try to start the car (it won't start) for a couple of seconds

I guess the filter will "last" the life of the car, but it's flow and performance for tuned cars as well as stock cars, will begin to suffer by 35-40K from what I have seen. It is cheap insurance against over working the fuel pump from restriction, as well as delivering the appropriate pressure/volume of fuel for the best timing, combustion, fuel economy.

12-14 bucks.... well worth it..
