I have an APR chipped ECU for 98 - 99 B5 1.8T Passats for sale. It is the 91 octane program. The ECU number is 558M but it will work in any U.S. spec B5. I replaced my stock 557P with this ECU and ran it trouble free for almost 2 years now. I have upgraded to a K04 so that is the reason I am selling this.

Asking $375 + shipping to the lower 48 states.

I can verify that the 558m will work in place of a 557p. My '98 AEB has been on the 558m ECU for 2 years, going in place of my stock 557p. The lst number and letter(s) indicate differences in factory programming, but the hardware is identical in function. Since it's reprogrammed by APR, the factory programming doesn't matter...

Where there can be complications is in cars that have the immobilizer, which will need changed with a VAG-COM to work, but I think you can only change the immobilizer setting a few times. That does not apply to this ECU.

BUMP for silberwagon.

BUMP - still for sale.

No need to trade your current ECU. This is for the chipped ECU.
