Hi
I'm replacing the front bumper of my B6 wagon.
Some of my bumper energy absorber broke off in an accident. The pieces are solid, and cleanly broken, but the absorber is no longer whole. Can I just duct tape them all together prior to putting my new bumper cover on? Or is that severely jeopardizing the function and integrity of the bumper energy absorber?

Yeah, I've ordered a new one. If there's ever an impact on that side, I'd say it's probably best to have all the safety parts in best working order! thanks for the replies.
