I turned on the fogs the other day and I got nothing - from both of them. Do you think a fuse was blown? How do I check for this problem?

How do I do that? I just had my car in for a 50k mile service and I asked them to check the fogs, but they were telling me to replace both fog lights - $100+ per fog light. They did not even mention any relay probs. Hope this is something easy to check and can be fixed myself - or at least cheaply!

The relay is on the auxiliary relay panel, you have to remove the trim panel on the driver side to get to it. But from what I have seen in my experience it could be the bulbs.

I was told by the dealers that I should not put in the bright white/blue fog lights b/c they may burn the connections. I think this is BS, but wanna make sure.

Ive been putting in those bulbs for 40k, and no problems. 55 watt bulbs.

It is BS, as long as the wattage is not exiding , you are fine. Like e_andree said, just do the 55 watts bulbs

Thanks guys. Will pick up a set and put them in myself. VW was charging too much to put in foglight bulbs. H3 -55 watts - right.
