Foam-filling the chassis?

I heard about foam-filling the A-pillars being done in the LS400, and I just came across an article recommending it as a mod to improve performance by stiffening the chassis. A nice side benefit is reducing noise.

Anybody done it? Know anything about foam-filling? Does the B5 already have a foam-injected frame?

YAHOO!!! Wow, that looks fabulous! Thanks for the link! That is so incredibly ingenious - you can bet I'm going to try it at the earliest opportunity.

I'm going to copy this thread to Amateur Motorsports - just the ticket for the guys who track their cars!

oh come on Rusty... now I'm all for stiffening our already heavy cars... i think working on better positioning for torshion bars would be better to stiffen the areas of our cars that will flex.

if you do this i'll give you a cookie!
