What is this?

As you see in the last picture, its coming out from under the front of the valence. Its been hangin out for a while, I usually stuff it back in the valence but it pops out as I drive.
So what is it? Is it important? I havn't noticed any differences in driving, well I do have horrible gas milage lately. TIA.

Put it under your tongue and see what your body temp is

Yes, you need it.

Swing by the dealer service bay... If they're in a good mood, they may just pop it back into place for you. It should take about 2 minutes to put it back.

You coulld pull out the middle section of the lower grill (between the foglights) and try to put it back yourself.

Worst case scenario... lose the bracket and zip-tie the sensor/harness/wire to the metal intake pipe that runs sideways parallel to the bumper. Put it in front where it will see some airflow.
