Eric Martinez---Rancho Cucamonga Ca.

I have a 2002 1.8T and I want to drop it and I want to know if is nessesary to replace the struts and spring or just the springs....also I nee to buy them ..so where can I go for a good deal?? whaat do you recomend?

if you want to drop it .... go with adjustable coilovers!

To be correct before someone else tries to... you have a coilover suspension already... but it's not adjustable. To change the height when you want you buy the adjustable kind... the Variant 1 system is good for our cars since you can change the height easily.

There are other types of suspension setups.. but if you want a lowered look the best way is with something similiar. H&R is another company who make adjustable coilovers.

If you just want something not as extreme you can match components spring and shocks... with Eibach, Bilstein, H&R try shox.com (also try looking at other peoples setups on their profiles to see what you like!)

i live in ontario...we should meet up sometime so you can see my "mildly" modified car
my friend lives in the housing development up around cherry ave. exit off 210 fwy.

thanxx Jr00 thanxx for the info......now I now whats up with the coil overs......but I thing I'm going just with the shocks and springs......
