I have 03 Passat 1.8T the check engine and ABS light was on when I bought the car and I have been driving it like that until recently. While driving the car shut off and the EPC Light came on and car has not ran since after changing numerous parts

My 2000 Passat, which I've never heard it run, had those that indicators too. I removed the ABS module and cut the cap off with a hot knife and seen 2 tiny leads desoldered from the contacts. I took it to a jeweler to see if they could fix it. Well it's trash. I got a refurbished module and the indicators are normal again.
