Does anyone know the correct size torx driver for the bolts/screws on the metal box containing the board/ecu? I am referring to the metal box that is insde the black platic box located on the driver's side inner firewall.

If it matters, mine is a 2003 Passat with ecu part #4B0 906 018 DA.

Thanks.

scotty_passat,

Yes, those are the ones. Thanks.

I don't need to open it now. However, I recently had a Wett chip installed and want to carry the OE chip and tools need to switch back to the OE chip in the car in case of need.

You should have a 10mm hex for the weather proof ECU cabinet. A T-15 as mentioned above for the ECU case, and then a small flathead screwdriver is handy to release the spring clip that holds the ECU in it's nest.

pass-variant,

Yes, I already have a small ratchet drive with the appropriate socket for the black vinyl box, and a screwdrive for the spring clip. I just didn't want to have to take that apart again just to figure out which torx drive size was required for the inner box.

Thanks nonetheless.
