DV fluttering?

Hey guys. This may be nothing but i figure i would post it here.

About a week ago I noticed that instead of just going "psh" when i let off the gas it would flutter. It's almost like i'm in a tunnel and the blow off sound is just echoing.

A few people have said that it might be compressor surge, but i've never been in a car that had that problem so i don't know what that would feel like. i notice it more at part throttle (ie 5-10psi) but don't hear it as much at full throttle (20-25psi hold) I have a forge 007 but it makes the same noise with my old 710n. Also the noise seemed to become more frequent after i put the stock inlet hose back on after my APR one would not stay on. (They are sending me a new one though:) )

Thanks
Ethan

what spring are you running in the forge 007?

how long have you been using that DV? regrease it?

my stock dv did this fluttering thing. probley because it couldnt handle the boost. but i had my forge 007 do it a little last week (after a year and a half of running it) so i regreased it and the fluttering went away.
Is the DV installed in the reversed position? I had some fluttering at low throttle with the DV (Hyperboost) in the reversed position.

It was regreased with lithium grease about a month ago. Should i be using something else?

My DV is relocated so the big end of the forge is facing down and the short end towards the turbo. THe vac line nipple is facing toward teh drives side fender:)
Did you try the test? This will tell you if the valve is holding vacuum in the top port, which is the only thing that can be wrong with the valve other than incorrect spring pressure that will cause it to flutter.

If it isn't that it will have to be another issue with the car, for example; a hole in your vacuum line or a loose clamp on the pressure port to the valve...
