Hey guys. New to VW and the board. Dumb question, but is the DSG the same unit on all VW's of similar years? Golf, CC, Passat, 4 cyl, V6, etc?

With variations in gear ratios and software versions, they should be the same unit essentially. Looking at cross-referencing a replacement?
