I am planning on getting the 235/40/18 Capital Negotiator tires...they are $107 per tire installed and the tread pattern looks kind of like the Nitto 555 that I have now...but I have never heard of them...any advice? :???:

I've never heard of them. Remember, your tires are the only interface your car has to the rest of the world... don't go cheap on them.

Edge racing has some Hankook Ventus for $96... maybe consider those?

I buy cheap tires....and some are better then some of the expensive ones.

I always choose Sumitomo!

Sumi's are actually some of the best tires performance wise around. They are world renound and just not very popular here in the states. Everybody always chooses Duns, Yoks, Etc.

Look at Nitto, they've been around however only recently in the states have they become really popular because of marketing.

I do have to agree, however, buy the best tire you can afford because that is your lifeline to the road.
