I guys. I have some DIY videos that I've been editing up and will post for the general benefit of the community. I did not own a better camera at the time, so I have to apologize for the video quality. My next videos are shot with a better camera.

You read my mind!
Just about to look into doing this to repair the bolster? on my drivers side. The leather is worn right through!

Damn, I'm getting motion sickness watching your videos, should have had someone else hold the camera.

Did you manage to find a replacement leather seat cover, or have that one repaired?

Sorry about the movement. It's just me, myself, and I right now in this state. I now have a tripod and higher resolution camera. Too bad I didn't have it for this video :\ I would consider re-shooting it, but I sold the car.

I may have been able to get the real leather one repaired with a new panel, but I was looking for the cheapest option and the heated seat on the skin I replaced was wearing out. I ended up tossing it.

I purchased a leatherette one off ebay and it worked fine. I didn't notice any real difference in breathe-abilty. The upper seat back was still leather.

If there isn't a matching color on ebay my next place to check would be your local junkyard or Brickyard Imported Cars not sure if they'll sell just the skin or the cushion and skin. The good news is I'm pretty sure the driver's and passenger's seat cushion and skin are interchangeable. I think you can also interchange A4, A6 seat custions and maybe Jetta. Sedans and Wagons appear to be different.

Sedan Part Numbers:
The Leather seat cover part number is: 3B0 881 405 BT LGM and is made in Slovenia
Seat Bolster Heaters P/N: 1J0 963 555 D and was made in Hungry

Most ebay sellers didn't now the part number.

Did not take note of leatherette seat p/n.
