Any special tools? Is it a bunch of elbow grease, or pretty easy?

You need a piston retractor that rotates the brake piston while pushing it in.

You can find kits very similar online for a lot less. Here is a kit like I bought 20 years ago: https://www.amazon.com/ABN-Universa...pcontext&ref_=fplfs&psc=1&smid=A1UMBRA5ZTBCX8

As noted, I just rent one from my FLAPS (friendly local auto parts store). You 'buy' it then get refunded when you return it.

Otherwise, it's an easy job, just be careful of the ABS sensors. Although I think you'd have to try to hurt them they are pretty fragile.

Harbor freight has a good brake piston kit for like $30 I think. Worth it if you have multiple cars. Other than that, just standard metric sockets and open end wrenches.
