I have a white dealer logo on the back of my black passat. Any ideas how i should go about getting it off. I dont want to wet sand, cuz of the obvious reasons. Anyone have an suggestions?

It feels like paint, but it seems to have an edge. I'll post a pic soon.

Me and my friend removed the ugly dealer logo from the back of his white accord... Removing the dealer logo is like removing the passat badge... This is how we did it... head it up wit a hair drier and then very carefully (really carefully) with your nail peel it out slowly... Head part by part, not the whole thing at once, do it slowly and it will be perfect.. his had no ghost and it looked perfect after takin it out...

btw, i am assuming its a stiker and not a badge like the passat one but if its a badge the prossess is similar but u should us some dental floss!

edit: ups, forgot to add that after takin the stiker out there will be some residue, just get some goo gone and it will white out easily.. Good Luck!
I bet it's just a really high quality vinyl sticker. Try using a fingernail, floss or fishing line.
I used my finger nails

I used my finger nails when I had my GTI. I also pulled off the 'Golf' and 'GTI' badging with my fingers. I then used an organic degreaser to take the residue off and voila, c'est tout! 8)
Plastic razor blade works good too.

Regular razor blade works great as long as you use a really good steep angle on it.

Hose it down with some WD-40 first to loosen it up.
I would take it to the dealer and have them remove it for no cost. I never allow them to put that crap on my cars and when it's already on there I have them remove it. Simple as that.
A pot scraper from Kitchen Etc. works pretty well - its soft enough not to scratch the paint but stiff enough to work the vinyl off. I used this and a hairdryer and then washed and waxed after with no ghosting and no residue.

This is what I did. They cleaned it for free!!!!
Just take the car back to the dealer and they will remove it. When I picked mine up some miscommunication?? happened and they stuck the sticker on the back. They just took the car to the detail crew who used a special cleaner and lifted it right off, they are always doing this with tradins, anyway the guys told me that people often came back months later to have the decals removed and they did it without any hassles if the customer wants it off. If you take it off yourself follow up with a good cleaner wax and then buff the spot with a good final wax, with todays clearcoats you can remove decals that are several years old and still buff it to look like it was never there to start with.

Thats what i did also when i bought the car, i made sure they removed it before i left the lot
you could always buy a new trunk lid. 8)
I would have given the dealership a contract.

Keep the logo on and in return for advertising, the dealershp will cover all maintainence, repairs, labor and parts until it is removed.
