Good evening.
I'm new here and after a bit of advice for my daughters 06 1.9tdi
It has been sitting for months and no one thought to go start it now and then.
So now we are faced with a flat battery, pressing the fob isn't opening it and the plastic key is turning and sounds like its trying to open but no luck.
Cant go through the boot as it was cleverly parked against a garage.
So any of you brilliant people have any ideas before I open it with a gallon of petrol and a match 馃槀馃ぃ
Thank you 馃槉

looks like you have to drag out, I believe the "boot" will do you no good as the seats are locked, you may however get lucky and crawl (daughter) thru the dropdown tray and panel between the two seats. The latch on that readily breaks anyway. Let me ask around as this happens a lot with the B5s. I was trying to think how they got power to the car's system, but can't recall

Cchief22 that would be amazing. Thank you.
I was thinking power to the starter or alternator might be enough to give the central locking a boost to work. 馃し鈥嶁檧锔

"Bob's your Uncle", that is exactly what they did, jacked up car and because a secondary cable comes directly from the positive side of battery, charged battery from there.....enough to get electrical system back "online"
