What kind of issues would I run into if I don't have one?

Mine broke off and it has nothing there atm

Assuming you mean the big one under the intake manifold, you'll have some oil spatter out the hole, and the mixture will be off - may idle poorly, stumble, burn excessive fuel, etc.

A boost leak, per se, I don't think so. But I never left a big hole in my PCV system deliberately, so I can't say the exact consequences.

Ah yes. The s shaped one. Yeah I need to fix it. I have a boost leak and that has to be the culprit
