Last week i had fans that wouldnt shut off til the battery died. I replaced the fan control module alond with a bad testing battery and alt. Also replaced coolant temp sensor for the hell of it. Now fans wont come on at all unless i remove fuse 26 under the hood and jump the furthest right relay. If i put the fuse back in fans stop and i get a high pitched whine under the hood. Where should i check next? 07 Passat wagon tfsi auto. Thanks!

Sounds like the fans themselves have failed. My 07 has a module integrated with the larger fan, known to go out.
Replacement fans can be found for around 100 bucks.

I ended up ordering a new large fan and cm from fcp and they should be here tomorrow. I ended up going back through and testing multiple things for voltage, continuity etc and everything looked good so i figured the fan must be out of spec but it still functioned well when i used a battery charger to jump the fan and change voltage....idk ill post back with my findings tomorrow....
