That sucks. Mostly because you know it was preventable.
That kit looks promising. The hard part with convertible tops is making them waterproof - so a hot kit is better than a cold one. Make sure you have some backing material or better yet, the bits that were poked out (if any material was lost).
A new top is $150 and about 4 hours of work, Kenny. It's not terribly hard, just tedious. The window is a bit of work, but it goes in pretty neatly.
My mom has stitched up tops in the past and then Gore-Tex treated the seams. This is the best method of all if cosmetics are not an issue, but you would probably have to take the top off part way anyway.
