A buddy from work just got himself a Golf, came with these rims

He's been driving on them for about a month, told me I could have em for 500. Is it a good price? will they fit?? Would it look good on a B5??

I would say yes to all 3. A friend of mine has them on his B5 wagon.
not bad, but $500 might be stretching it.
I can probably work it down to 400, but its still a good price seeing as how they're new and I've been meaning to get new tires for the 15's anyways
Be sure they fit first. I'm not 100% on this, but I thought the Golf and Jetta were a 5X100 bolt pattern, not the 5X112 the Passat uses.
they'll fit, mkv+ vw's swapped to 5x112, the offsets are like et52 or something ridiculous like that though, so you might want to get some spacers, you may need them to clear the brakes in the front and will want them to not look goofy in the rear

This.:)
So does anyone have pics of a B5 with those wheels. I'd really like to see what it would look like
$500 is a good price for them, if they come with tire with useable tread. i myself got a set of the huff's for $300 from a buddy who did quite a bit of searching for me. the huffs are these same physical design, except they have a machined front face, and a dark grey metalic inner paint color.
I say do it... but you'll need spacers or you'll look silly ;)

Yup.
so my buddy finally got his rims and took off the ones he's selling. We popped one on my car just to see how it looks. His tires were uninflated so we didnt lower it all the way.. have a look, tell me what you think.. oh and im deffinately going to need spacers, his tire is too wide. Does anyone know how much they run for? or where I can get them?

you can see where it touches that whatchamacallit there

OH there denvers not Huffs!

those are like offsets of 47?57? i think?

Idk for sure, test fitted some on my b5 and they would be a pain to get to mount so he sold em ha

edit: its not his tire, its the offset of the wheel.
so will it fit with spacers?? will it look wee todd edd?? I need to know soon, the guy is basically giving them to me, just lowered it to 450 for the set.

Then again how much would the right spacers cost??
15mm at least. Need longer bolts too. They go for about $50 per pair and idk about the bolts $$, but you need ball seat ones. Check ECS. Add 15mm (or however thick the spacer is) to your stock length to find the ones you need.

It will fit with spacers. but your gonna need roughly $300 to get em to mount up and go, Spacers are yeah roughly $50 a pair... bolts will run you another $80 or so for extended ones..

ecstuning has em, raderworks, and Black forest industries

if your heart has a sweet spot for these then go for it... but hope your wallet can fork over a few hundred more to run em.
what do you mean by mount them? Im a noob when it comes to wheel and tires... I thought its just get em on there bolt em on and drive off
