Is there a way I can change the automatics lockinffeature without taking it to the dealer? It locks fine (10mph) but they don't automatically unlock when put into park or the key is taken out. The door handles need to be pulled or I need to press the unlock button. To open the doors without the unlock button, it's Once for passenger and driver side and twice for the back seats. I want to make it so they all unlock when the car is put into park. It is annoying to have to unlock my car to get stuff out of the back set after I'm done driving.

You can use VCDS to change the selective unlocking when you take out the key. I have mine set to unlock all of the doors when I take the key out, I don't think it will work by just putting the car in park. This is the procedure from Ross-Tech:

46 - Central Covenience: -- KWP1281
Only on vehicles with power windows. VCDS fine. There are numerous options/ features that can be set.

Selective Unlocking:

[Select]
[46 - Cent. Conv.] (35 - Cent. Locking for manual window cars)
[Recode - 07]
Write down the existing coding for future reference.
Enter 5-digit code from the list VCDS gives you
[Do It!]

Look at the existing Soft. Coding. If you have selective unlocking (press the unlock button on the remote once to open the driver's door, twice to open all the doors) the last digit of your coding should be an odd number. To make all doors unlock, add 1 to the coding.

I have no clue what any of this means :O. I feel uncomfortable about doing that myself. I was thinking maybe a setting I could do myself like I did on my grandpa's 2003 camry xle.

No, not a setting with a friendly, dashboard user interface; these cars are advanced for their time, but they were still designed in the 90's.
